Mission Statement:
The Wildlife Research Institute was established to create a public, non-profit organization to conduct research, and provide data and education for the wise use and management of wildlife and wildlife habitat. Further, to promote timely conservation biology through cooperative programs with agencies, industry and academia. WRI is a land trust and manager of mitigation for sensitive habitats.
WRI is a nonprofit ecological research and consulting firm, founded in 1997, that has worked with federal, state, county, utilities, and other non-profit entities to achieve quality environmental information for planning, management, and restoration purposes. Known for its world-class professional staff, WRI’s experts have been and continue to be involved in conservation biology, ecological research, and environmental management projects across the globe. WRI staff frequently participates in the development of Habitat Conservation Plans, HCP monitoring, and other regional conservation planning and wildlife management. WRI is accustomed to technically challenging projects and those requiring the mobilization of large groups of field biologists.
